Friday night I went to a surprise b*day party for my dear friend's husband's 30th b*day. I was in charge of the cupcakes and I am quite proud of the design/toppers I came up with.
To make the toppers, I searched flickr for different photos of the number 30 (user Leo Reynolds had a lot of every number.) Cropped them to small images, made two of each and saved in powerpoint. This way I could get a lot on one sheet of paper, easier for printing and saves trees. Cut out and glued together on a toothpick.
The cupcakes were chocolate cake with homemade peanut butter icing via the Barefoot Contessa. I think they turned out just lovely and delicious too.
