did you love domino magazine? i did! secret confession - i have every issue saved. i probably could sell my collection on ebay but i love them too much. at least once a year i haul them all out and flip back through for inspiration.
when i found out a domino quick fixes edition was coming back i stalked my local drugstore to get my hands on a copy. success! it feels good to have an old friend back!
i am loving my current read - dear cary: my life with cary grant. it's about dyan cannon's relationship with cary grant. when they met he was a well-established movie star, while she was just finding her way through hollywood. it's so interesting to get a peek into their life together. i'm picturing everything in black and white like an old movie.

the nice folks at martha stewart sent me a copy of her new book, martha's entertaining: a year of celebrations, and i can't wait to flip through and get some inspiration. some nice entertaining for another snow day! we're going on day 3!

i ordered a copy of gwyneth paltrow's cookbook - my father's daughter and i was a little leery at first but after skimming through it i'm excited to cook from it. all the recipes seem simple and there are lots of modifications to make things healthier. i'm always intimidated by trying modifications so this will be really helpful. more to come!

i have a handful of fashion websites i must read every day and who what wear is one of them. so when i saw the authors, uber stylish girls* hillary kerr and katherine power came out with their second book - what to wear, where! - i was really excited. i have their first book who what wear and love it. my favorite part is the section detailing out situations and what to wear to them. that's exactly what the new book is all about. i can't wait to get my copy!

one of my goals of 2011 is to make book reading a priority. here's what on my list:
- the girl who played with fire. i read the first book when i was in greece and loved it. i really want to finish the series. and then watch the swedish movies.
- the tipping point {in progress!} this was a gift from ms. rauh. i should add blink to my reading list?
- water for elephants need to read before the movie comes out.
- garlic and sapphire by ruth reichl about being a food critic.
- the help another one to read before the movie comes out.
- never let me go the sister of all trades recommended this book
- winter's bone i think this is a movie or coming out and there's buzz about it.
- life by keith richards. there are stones girls and there are beatles girls. i'm a stones girl so i have to read this.

one of my friends, alexandra hedin, has written a book - entertaining at home. i was lucky enough to pick up a copy last week and i can't wait to make something from it. i flipped through it and all the parties she covers are ones i could see myself throwing too. and love the photography, it's beautiful.
