peonies of 2012

around this time every year...see here, here and here...i be come mildly obessesed with peonies.  here are some of my peonies for 2012.

glasses? trying on warby parker

i need to get some new glasses so i order 5 samples from warby parker.  if you haven't heard of warby parker you can have glasses 5 samples shipped to you for free, at-home trying on!  then pick yours favorite and they'll give you AND someone in need a pair.  how nice is that?

so...which one should i pick?  one? two? or three?  {p.s. i swear i don't have a lazy eye.  photo one makes me look like i do!}

air plants

i finally got my act together, put the bowl the nice folks at west elm gave me from their gardening event and 'planted' my air plants. 

 it was so easy - large glass bowl + a little sand + air plants from my local gardening store.

find a home for it and water as needed!

 

julie andrews!

on monday i was in the presence of greatness...julie andrews came by my work for a book signing.  unfortunately the event started early and i missed most of it but i did get to see her and take some photos.  she was so warm and lovely, sweetly greeting everyone.  she might be a true, real-life mary poppins.  there was this different feeling is the room.  maybe it was her or maybe it came from so many people in awe of her and being in the presence of one of their favorite childhood stars.  oh julie andrews, i love you so!

mini daffodils

just when i didn't think i could get any more flowers in my apartment {thank you for all the birthday flowers} i had to bring these mini daffodils home.  i mean, they're mini...mini daffodils
