i saw these orange lanterns, sometimes called chinese lanterns, in the grocery back at the beginning of the fall and kept forgetting to pick some up. then, they were gone! the other day when i was shopping they were back and i remembered to snatch some up. i put them in an orange vase and since they are dried they'll last a long time. {the lamp is also orange and from pottery barn. i've got a lot of orange in one corner.}
if you are a paper lover and are in seattle this weekend you might want to check out paperpalooza. what is paperpalooza? it's four seattle stationaires so overloaded with paper {and other stationary goods} they are getting rid of tons and on sale!
i saw this sale over on black*eiffel and had to share. get a grab bag of 10 egg press letterpress cards for $10. if you do the math, that's $1 a card. so smart, huh? and egg press has the cutest designs and patterns, totally worth it.

I received a gocco printer for christmas last year and have only used it a handful of times since. Okay, more like once, maybe twice? And I feel awful about it. But it's one of those things you get and then have to get all these supplies for so It's hard to really kick things off with a bang.

I learned from the urban craft uprising newsletter one of my favorite companies midori, inc. has just opened an outlet store in seattle. They have beautiful ribbon, packaging and decorative boxes. And starting feb 6th, they are offering sale prices the first friday of every month from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Have to check that out. Have you seen how cute their stuff is?
