so apparently i am the only one who wasn't. when i was in boston stacie seriously gasped with i said i never watch. {what? my tv rarely leaves bravo or no reservations.} when i came home i settled in to see what's on this channel and discovered my new favorite show - secrets from a stylist. host emily henderson {who is a doll!} designs rooms for couples with two different styles. she takes things from what each person likes and creates one look. super cute show. saturday nights, 9 p.m. on hgtv. blogger joy of oh joy will be on in two weeks!
there's something about january because i am watching a lot of tv. one show i'm going to try starts tonight, off the map on abc. a show about a group of doctors in south america working at a clinic. each of them have something they are running away from and 'will go to the ends of the earth to try to remember the reasons why they wanted to become doctors on the first place.'

sounds like grey's anatomy in the jungle to me! but...one of the cast member is mamie gummer aka meryl streep's daughter. meryl wouldn't let her kin be in something bad, right?

i know i am way late to this game, but when i was sick i caught a few episodes of anthony bourdain no reservations and i'm obsessed. the idea of the show is he travels around the world and tries different and obscure cuisine. not a completely unique concept but i love his personality, his 'try anything once' attitude, his sailor mouth (toned down for tv but i know it's there) and the subtle buck-ness of his front teeth. i've developed a major crush. too bad he's married.
he also has a book that i'm adding to my reading list.

when my friends think of sound of music they must think of me because i've had a lot of them text, email and facebook me about the cast of sound of music being on oprah today. i can't wait! {i had tear in my eye just watching the preview. it's a dream come true for me!}

the second season of glee starts tonight! i am beyond excited for shue, sue and the gang. rachel has bangs, finn has a tan, artie and tina date in real life...it's gonna be great!

hurray! top chef just desserts starts september 15th. i have been waiting for this show to start. i can't wait to find out what restaurants/bakeries all the contestants are from, the desserts they'll make and watch gail simmons as the head judge! {i really like her and her palate; i think we have twin taste buds.} will you watch?

i can't wait for mad men to start back up this weekend. it seems like ages ago i was watching the season finale and gasping because it was so good. my mouth was on the floor when they went to every commercial break. good stuff.
