i needed something to store all my little craft items so i bought this ikea organizer a while ago. i was able to put the whole thing together, except the drawers. there were so many nails involved and i needed a little help. but once it was complete i ended up not using it. maybe because it looked so boring?
to spice it up i covered the drawers with some snow + graham paper. there are a lot of drawers so i thought making a template from one drawer front would be easiest. i took the front of the drawer, traced it, cut out and then sized it to exactly fit the front so there wasn't any extra paper handing off.
i took the paper, traced it on some cardstock and cut out. then i traced and cut out eight more pieces from the cute/fun paper.
i used modge podge to adhere the paper to the drawer front. paint on one coat of modge podge to the drawer front and them place and line up the paper. paint another coat of modge podge on top of the paper.
modge podge dries quickly {in about 45 mins} but i recommend allowing to dry overnight.
put the drawer back in and ta-da! a new pretty ikea organizer. now i have to fill all those drawers!
Very cute James! Love the paper choice-
